study: Psalms Part 1 - Precept
Leader: Melinda Lopez
When: Sundays, 4:00-6:00pm
Room: E108
Dates: June 29-July 24

Through Psalms we learn about God—His attributes, what pleases and displeases Him, His relationship to the righteous and the wicked, and His revelation of the future concerning Messiah, salvation, and judgment. In Psalms 1–22, we learn how blessed we are who are in right relationship to Him, that we respond to Him in worship.

Study: 1,2,3 John - Precept
Leader: Tracy Caldwell
When: Tuesdays, 9:30-11:30am
Room: E306-308
Dates: June 17-July 29

Take a journey through the scriptures with the Apostle John, an eyewitness to the life of Jesus Christ. John walked with Jesus on earth so it’s no wonder that he steps up to the plate when deceivers try to weave a story to lead believers away from the truth. In this Bible study on I John and 2 & 3 John, we will explore questions like, “How do you know if you're really born again?” “What does it mean to be holy?” “What does it mean to love God?” “How do you know the truth?” “How do you stay confident in the truth that you have learned and loved?” Find answers to these and other questions as you take an in-depth look at several fundamentals of Christian beliefs.

You’ll practice a pattern for studying the Psalms, so that you can continue to study them on your own.

Study: The Book of John by Melissa Spoelstra
Leader: Beth Ray
When: Mondays,  6:00pm
Room: E108 and Zoom
Dates: October 13 - November 24

Life. It seems to move at a break-neck pace. Days are filled with noise, screens, and appointments. Sometimes worry and fear are constant companions. The chaos can leave you looking for a place to be still, but that resting spot always seems to be an elusive destination. Jesus offers a different kind of life. He offers peace. He is peace.

In this 7-session study on the Gospel of John, Melissa Spoelstra will encourage you to slow down and linger with the living Word. You’ll appreciate the pace of the Savior who never hurried but completed all that the Father called Him to accomplish. As you turn the pages of John’s Gospel, you’ll be challenged to take on the posture of a learner—understanding that the peace Jesus offers is not an ease of circumstances, but a stillness of the soul. As a result, you’ll grow in intimacy with Him and learn to live, serve, and rest in His peace.
